Visual Nature Studio 3 Feature of the Week

Years in the making, VNS 3 is the biggest 3D Nature upgrade ever.
With features that immediately benefit everyone from beginner to advanced users, VNS 3 is already producing great results in the projects of visualization experts around the world. Each week our Feature of the Week will focus on one of the new cutting-edge features VNS 3 offers. This week's feature is:
Smart Topology
Working with island polygons just got smarter.
Island polygons and multi-part topology are part of any complex GIS dataset. Buildings have courtyards. Lakes have islands. Forests have meadows and cutblocks have leave stands.
VNS has always tried to handle interior polygon holes, but VNS 3 takes this to a whole new level of sophistication.
VNS 3's Wall Buildings can now have courtyards, even multiple courtyards. Lakes can have cutout dry areas in the middle, Area Terraffectors can have interior holes of unaffected area and ecosystems can have patches in the middle of their polygons. The results are automatic. just import shapefiles containing linked multi-part polygons, attach them to the desired component, and VNS works out the details.
