Visual Nature Studio 3 Feature of the Week

Years in the making, VNS 3 is the biggest 3D Nature upgrade ever.

With features that immediately benefit everyone from beginner to advanced users, VNS 3 is already producing great results in the projects of visualization experts around the world.

Each week our Feature of the Week will focus on one of the new cutting-edge features VNS 3 offers. This week's feature is:

The Link Widget

Linking of components to Vectors/Polygons is one of the most common and important operations in VNS. And now it's even easier than before. In the General tab of every vector-linkable Component or effect editor, the new Link Widget shows a concise summary of what vectors the component links to, and what methods are being employed. A count of how many vectors are linked via hard linking and by Search Queries is always at hand.

To change the linkage, the Link button offers up the Link Operations popup menu, with quick access to existing and new Search Queries, the ability to convert Search Query Dynamic Links into Hard Links, access the Database Editor for linked vectors, and Enable and Disable linked vectors.

Major improvements:
  • Shows concise linkage summary.
  • Hides infrequently-used operations.
  • Offers more extensive Link Operations in one place than ever before!
  • Quick access to the Database Editor.
  • Fast Enabling and Disabling of linked Vectors.
  • Easy access to Search Queries.
