With
features that immediately benefit everyone from beginner to
advanced users, VNS 3 is already producing great results in the
projects of visualization experts around the world.
Each week our Feature of the Week will focus on one of the new
cutting-edge features VNS 3
offers. This week's feature is:
The New Database Editor

A complete new design for the Database Editor provides a tabular display of all the properties of every database entity in your project, with
columns showing the appearance, extents, enabled states, components, layers and attributes.

Major new features:
Tabular view lets you see properties of all objects, not just one at a time.
Everything can be edited right in the table view like a spreadsheet, including multi-selection editing.
Resizable to make use of as much space as you like. Make it small to dock, or large to take up the whole screen.
Pop-up panels are available for Attributes and Layers to help drill-down into the properties of the selected object.
View Layers and attributes as either columns or as a list.
New filtering controls let you display only the DEMs or Vectors or choose a Layer or even a Search Query to use to determine what you see. Tame vast databases instantly!
New in-window toolbar with easy access to Delete, Find, Edit, DEM paint, Vector Profile, Split, Join and Conform tools!
Copy and paste available from all text fields.
Resizable and hide-able columns.
"Greenbar" style alternating background colors help you scan across large tables.
Color-coded backgrounds show which objects are enabled and disabled.
